From South Africa – 2006.11.05

Here is the most recent report from the Hildreths. Please continue to remember these dear Christians and their family as they labor for the Lord in South Africa.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update on our last week. We are all doing just fine. We have had a week full of rain which has been wonderful! The temperatures were cooler and everything is fully green now.

Dave spent the week building cabinets for the Lighthouse Office. We have started a new Bible study with our teen groups but have decided to divide the groups because there are some students who can’t read very well and are having a hard time grasping the concepts we are talking about. Dave is going to start a “basic Bible study” with simple truths and will build on this.

We were able to bless several more this week with Bibles. We have already given out 40 Bibles and it has been wonderful. We sure appreciate everyone who has helped with this.

Alisa is improving by leaps and bounds! I am attaching 2 photos of Alisa. The first picture was taken on October 15th and the second one was taken today, November 5th. You will be so happy with her progress! She is eating like a horse and the diarrhea is under control now. She is so happy and feeling so good. Thank you for all who are praying for her.

We are going to try to do a Christmas gift for each child at the hospital on Christmas Day. I assume there will be 200+ kids. We think for about $12 we can give each child a car or doll, color crayons, color book and some candy and wrap it in wrapping paper. If you wuld like to help with this, please let us know.

We will write more soon. Thank you for your prayers and support. We miss each one of you.

Wow! The pictures of Alisa astounded me. Just to see what a little love and care can do in a child’s life. The pictures remind me of Jesus bringing back to life the youngster and telling the wailing mourners to rejoice! The one that was dead is now alive!

So, I rejoice for this child and thank God for the heartfilled work of this family. May He place His hedge of safety around them as they continue to minister to and feed these who not only are starving physically, but also spiritually. What a witness to our LORD’s grace and mercy!!

Thanks for keeping us updated, Bill!
