September 11, 2001 – We Will Never Forget

tower-of-lights-by-bill-williams.JPGAs our thoughts are focused on the events of 9/11, I invite you take a few minutes to peruse these web sites which provide information regarding ongoing memorial projects:

The September 11 Digital Archive – a web site dedicated to saving the histories of September 11, 2001.

September 11 News.com – the Internet’s #1 resource for September 11, 2001 news.
World Trade Center Memorial Foundation – Remembering and honoring the thousands of innocent men, women, and children murdered by terrorists in the horrific attacks of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001.
Pentagon Memorial Project – The goal of these organizations is to construct a memorial commemorating the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon and the 184 lives lost in the Pentagon and on American Airlines Flight 77.
Flight 93 National Memorial – Project to memorialize “A Common Field One Day… A Field Of Honor Forever.”

Below are a few additional photographs of the many that I have in my files. While I have some photographs which were taken at Ground Zero, I did not take any of these during my time as a chaplain there. Captions follow each of this pics.

    Thanks for the links!
I take one “exception” to your post … from all I can tell coming out of DC, many of our politicians seem to have forgotten. Hopefully, though, we will not forget!

  2. ksreyes says:

Thank you for helping us to remember, Bill. We hung our flags and talked to the children today – so that no one would be forgotten….

Thanks for visiting my site and leaving your kind comment. I enjoyed reading the uplifting and edifying posts on your pages. Thank you for the compelling pictures posted here to help us never forget, and especially for your contributions to the those who were grief-stricken five years ago and needed your care.
    Keep up God’s work,
    Debi

Blessings and gratitude for you, Bill!!

  6. Thank you for your memorial post, and the comment on my blog. The way things are here in Denmark, I feel I have to speak up on what 9/11 should mean for *all* of us. And it’s great to have som support in that

I have read the Christian Chronicle article. May God continue tobless you in your compassionforhurting and sometimes lost souls. I cried that day as we gatheredto pray — a thousand miles away in a different country — and tears well up as the magnitude of the pain is brought again to mind.

    God Bless
    Charlie

  10. These sick liberals are trying to desecrate the memory of 9/11 with a National Day of Service. I, for one, am disgusted.
